AAS 433C - African American History since 1877 Examination of the emergence of African Americans from the aftermath of the Civil War to the present. Themes include the restrictions imposed by Jim Crow, segregation beyond the South, the Civil Rights movement, inner city rebellions and the new Black cultural movement.
