HIST 348 - World War I: Origins, Experience, Memory World War I as a central set of formative moments in the political, economic, social, and cultural history of twentieth-century Europe. Explores diplomacy, military and home fronts and the organization and articulation of memory. Introduces students to the complexities of historical process and war as something more profound than a set of military engagements.
