This Certificate in Spanish for the Professions focuses on developing advanced specific language skills for the effective use of the Spanish language in professional settings. This program should be of particular interest to students considering careers in international business, law, government service, health care, hospitality, journalism, media, or other professions where proficiency in a second language is important.

Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:
- Continue effectively developing their linguistic competence in all areas (listening, speaking, reading and writing) emphasizing different professional areas.
- Acquire real-world skills to compete in today’s Spanish-speaking professional world.
- Incorporate specialized vocabulary and grammar built around their individual.
- Develop cultural awareness of how language and culture intersect with professional practices both, locally and in the global market.
- Learn how to hire, be hired, promote their business, defend clients, and show compassion and dedication to their customers and patients while managing the linguistic complexities of our diverse city and multilingual world.
