This Certificate in Spanish Linguistics focuses on developing advanced knowledge of Spanish language applicable to bilingualism, second language acquisition, and linguistic diversity in the Spanish speaking world. This program should be of particular interest to students considering careers in fields such as education, linguistics, psychology, computer science, and modern languages.

Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:

Language Courses - Credits: 0-9
Depending on original placement, students will take up to three courses from this category.
Linguistics Courses - Credits: 9-15
Depending on original placement, students will take courses from this category to complete the 18 credits. SPAN 410 may be taken twice with different topics.
Supplemental Courses - Credits: 0-3
Students who place above SPAN 302 will take one course from the following.
Language Courses - Credits: 0-12
Depending on original placement, students will take up to four courses from this category.
