Religious Studies Minor

The Sociology Department offers an interdisciplinary Minor in Religious Studies open to students across the university. Students learn to explore the varied ways human beings find meaning, purpose, and wonder in their lives; engage in comparative, cross-cultural, and interdisciplinary studies that complement a variety of undergraduate majors across the university; and communicate the complex ways that religion and spirituality intersect with political, social, and cultural dynamics across time and place.

1. ENG 477A /FILM 495 Film and Literature, topic “Holocaust and Trauma” may be one of the courses selected to satisfy requirements.
2. Twelve credits must be upper division (300 or 400 level).
