This Certificate in Technology Commercialization provides students with the necessary foundational knowledge in technology commercialization. Students will learn the fundamentals of engineering technology, engineering economics, how to create business plans, and the steps required to commercialize and launch a technology into markets by creating a technology commercialization plan.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completing the certificate program, a graduate will be able to:
- Describe the fundamentals of engineering technology.
- Give examples of the skills and experiences needed for planning business operations and marketing plans.
- Identify and explain basic engineering economic principles.
- Execute the steps required to commercialize and launch a technology into markets by creating a TechCom Plan.
Admissions Requirements
A 2.5 GPA or higher is required for this certificate program.

Modality: Blended
This program requires some In-Person courses to graduate, while other courses can be taken online. A blended student is one who has committed to pursuing their degree, minor, certificate, or microcredential through both in-person and online education.
University Graduation Requirements
To obtain this certificate, you must be a degree seeking undergraduate student pursuing an approved UNLV bachelor’s degree. Please see Graduation Policies for complete information.
