Plan Description
Students that complete this certificate will be trained in basic statistical training and software tools that will focus on the collection, storage, retrieval and analysis of data. This certificate is meant to help those that are involved with data analysis, but lack the skills or understanding to conduct the analysis.

All applicants must review and follow the Graduate College Admission and Registration Requirements.
Students must:
- Meet the general requirements for admission to graduate instruction at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, as described by the Graduate College, unless already a graduate student at UNLV.
- Must submit a resume/CV, letter of intent and two letters of reference.
- Must be employed in a position that treats with data.
- Meet admissions requirements of the Graduate College of UNLV regarding the TOEFL or other equivalent certifications of English fluency.
- Complete Graduate College application online and submit a nonrefundable admission application fee. Mail official transcripts to the Graduate College. Send a letter of interest, explaining why you wish to enroll in the certificate.
Students are accepted into a certificate program as described in the Graduate Catalog. The faculty and corresponding sub-disciplines and sub-plans within the described programs are subject to change at any time.

Required Courses – Credits: 12
Certificate Requirements
All four courses in the certificate must be completed with an overall GPA at or above 3.0. Any grade below a C is not acceptable towards completion.
Plan Certificate Completion Requirements
The student must submit all required forms to the Graduate College and then apply for graduation in MyUNLV by the appropriate deadline.
