WMST 475 - Gender, Development, and Globalization



Examines the relationship between women’s position and processes of development and globalization, with a primary focus on Third World women. Considers the interaction of local and global forces in creating change (both positive and negative) and women’s perspectives and activism for promoting social equality. This course is crosslisted with WMST 675. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.
