CEM 330 - Soils and Foundations for Construction
Introduction to basic concepts of soils and foundations including compaction, compressibility, settlement, shear strength, and site investigations. Problem soils and solutions. Types and systems of foundations, bearing capacity, sheeting, and braced excavations.

Prerequisites: or or , . Prerequisites must be completed with a grade of C or better. Advanced Standing required. The maximum number of attempts for this course is three, including earned grades, withdrawals, and audits.
