Topics include: diode circuits and rectifiers, power semiconductor diodes and transistors, thyristors and static switches, controlled rectifiers, AC voltage controllers, DC choppers, inverters, AC and DC drives, power supplies and protection of devices and circuits. This course is crosslisted with EE 442. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.
