Gateway Math Bridge Program

The Gateway Math Bridge (GMB) is a free 5-week preparatory program designed to support students seeking enrollment in MATH 120 MATH 124 , or MATH 126 . It offers an alternative pathway for students who do not meet placement score requirements, equipping them with the foundational skills needed for success in their gateway math course. Students who complete GMB with a grade of C or higher (73% or above) become eligible to enroll directly in their designated course without the need for corequisite support.

GMB is a virtual program that is offered in the fall, spring, and summer semesters/sessions. Students are assigned to a WebCampus course that is designed to provide asynchronous learning support through the use of daily instructional videos and assignments, live virtual tutoring sessions, weekly exams, and a final exam.

Students are eligible to participate in the GMB  program if they are on track to enroll in a corequisite-supported math course, MATH 120E +20B, MATH 124E +24B, or MATH 126E +26B, in the upcoming semester. GMB is open to new and incoming students, transfer students, and currently enrolled students. Additionally, students who have previously attempted and not passed a corequisite math course may enroll in GMB as an alternative pathway to placement, allowing them to bypass retaking the support course upon successful completion.
