Peer Mentoring

For many first-year students, transitioning to life at UNLV can be a significant challenge, which is why the Peer Mentoring program is an important part of the First Year Experience (FYE). Peer mentors who are experienced undergraduate students serve as role models who offer guidance, share personal experiences, and provide encouragement to help new students adjust to college life. By pairing first-year students with a supportive peer, the program helps mentees navigate campus resources, set and achieve goals, and feel connected and validated. Peer mentoring is a campus-wide initiative with programs available in each college and select departments to support the success of first-year undergraduate students.
