This Undergraduate Certificate in Italian Language focuses on learning Italian language skills and developing a strong foundation for the effective use of the language academically, socially, and professionally. This program should be of particular interest to students considering careers in education, government service, health care, hospitality, international business, journalism, media, tourism, or other professions where foreign language proficiency is important.

Learning Outcomes
- Listen, speak, read and write effectively in Italian in a variety of contexts to the B2 (CEFR)/Intermediate High (ACTFL) level
- Cultivate literary, metalinguistic, and cultural understanding of the Italian language and cultures of Italian-speaking countries to broaden learners’ perspectives
- Develop sociocultural awareness and interpersonal skills to compete in today’s multilingual world.
