Music Minor

The music minor offers students an opportunity to acquire basic knowledge of music theory, music history, and performance skills.

Music Minor - Total Credits: 23


Courses Include:


  • The Music Minor includes:

  • Two semesters of applied music at 2 credits each
  • 2 credits of ensemble
  • 12 credits of upper-division electives selected from the following:
    - applied study (maximum of 4 credits)
    - ensemble (maximum of 4 credits)
    - music theory /history (maximum of 6 additional credits)
    - music education (maximum of 3 credits)
    - music technology (maximum of 3 credits)
    - conducting (maximum of 4 credits)
