Plan Description
The Certificate in Mixed Methods Research (MMR) is intended for researchers and practitioners in education and across social science fields to understand mixed methods approaches and become able to successfully conduct mixed methods research in their respective fields.
Plan Admission Requirements
Application deadlines
Applications available on the UNLV Graduate College website.
Students with a Master’s Degree are eligible to apply for the MMR Certificate.
Applicants must already have foundational knowledge prior to applications, by either having completed: EPY 702 and EPY 721, or equivalent.
Students must complete and submit the application through the Grad Rebel Gateway.
Applicants must provide a resume and statement of intent.
Enrollment may be limited based on class size.
Applications may be submitted at any time during an academic term.
Plan Requirements
Total Credits: 15
Core I Courses - Credits: 6
Complete 6 credits by completing all of the following courses.
Core II Courses - Credits: 9
After completing all Core I courses, complete 9 credits by completing the following courses. EPY 731 must be taken before EPY 741.
Certificate Completion Requirements
All courses in the certificate must be completed with an overall GPA at or above 3.0. Any grade below a C is not acceptable towards completion.
Not more than 3 of the credits that are used to fulfill the requirements of another UNLV certificate can count towards the requirements of the Advanced Graduate Certificate in Mixed Methods Research.
Students may apply for graduation up to two semesters prior to completing their degree requirements. All required forms must be submitted to the graduate college via the Grad Rebel Gateway.
