The Department of Labor, among other entities, has indicated that there is a demand at the local, state, regional, and national levels for individuals to be trained in the knowledge of computers, networks, and risk and security management. The M.S. in Cybersecurity addresses this key societal need. Students in this program will be trained in technical and managerial aspects of cybersecurity.

Plan Description
Currently, there is a demand at the local, state, region and national level for individuals to be trained in the knowledge of computers, networks, and risk and security management. Students will be trained in technical and managerial aspects of cybersecurity.

Plan Admission Requirements

All domestic and international applicants must review and follow the Graduate College Admission and Registration Requirements.
- Undergraduate degree in a technology program (i.e., CS, IS, Security, Engineering, etc.)
- Applicants with satisfactory scores on the general aptitude portion (50th percentile or higher) of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) will be considered for admission.
- Official transcript of all university-level education
- Two letters of recommendation concerning the potential for success in the graduate program
- Statement of purpose explaining interest in the program
- Minimum GPA and further requirements for all domestic and international applicants available at the Graduate College Admission and Registration Requirements page.
- Individuals with deficiencies in their undergraduate background may be required to enroll in selected additional courses to satisfy the M.S. degree requirements.
Students are accepted into a degree program as described in the Graduate Catalog. The faculty and corresponding sub-disciplines and sub-plans within the described programs are subject to change at any time.
Plan Requirements
Total Credits Required: 30
Required Courses – Credits: 21
Elective Courses – Credits: 6
Complete 6 credits of advisor-approved electives, 3 of which must come from a CSEC course (CSEC 600 will not count towards any elective credit).
Capstone Course - Credits: 3
Degree Requirements
- Overall GPA of 3.00
- Successful completion of culminating experience (i.e., CSEC 790 Capstone course)
- Complete all required courses with a grade of B or higher
Plan Graduation Requirements
Students may apply for graduation up to two semesters prior to completing their degree requirements. All required forms must be submitted to the graduate college via the Grad Rebel Gateway.
