BIOL 476N - Sensorimotor Systems and Neural Control



This course focuses on the nervous system’s coordination with external environment. We cover how a neuron works and communicates to understand how the brain perceives, and executes motor and higher functions. Principles will be contextualized with student-led presentations.

Credits: 3
Prerequisites: Minimum grade of C in the following: BIOL 190A  and BIOL 190L  (formerly BIOL 196), BIOL 191A  and BIOL 191L  (formerly BIOL 197), CHEM 121A  and CHEM 121L CHEM 122A  and CHEM 122L , ENG 102  or ENG 114  or HON 100 MATH 127  or MATH 128  or MATH 181 ; BIOL 300  or BIOL 304 . The maximum number of attempts for  BIOL 476N is three, including earned grades, withdrawals and audits.
Notes: Crosslisted with BIOL 676N. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.

Fulfills the UNLV General Education Physical and Natural Science Requirement.
