NURS 302 - The History of Nursing
History of American nursing. Examines nurses from the colonial period to the present. Analyzes primary and secondary documents. Explores selected historical periods that influenced the development of nursing practice. Identifies barriers to professional nursing practice. Emphasis is on the historical origins and social changes within nursing that occur over time.
Credits: 3
Prerequisites: 3 credits of History.
Notes: Fulfills the UNLV General Education Humanities Requirement.
