ME 301 - Structure and Properties of Solids


Electronic structure and bonding in solids, crystalline and noncrystalline solids, defects and their relation to properties, phase transformations, diffusion in solids, and corrosion.

Credits: 3
Prerequisites:  , CHEM 121L , and (PHYS 180  or PHYS 195 ).  All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C or better. The maximum number of attempts for this course is three, including earned grades, withdrawals, and audits.
