BIOL 451 - Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy



The companion laboratory course of  . Hands-on dissection of specimens representing major vertebrate groups. Numerous demonstration specimens sample the diversity of fishes, amphibians, and amniotes. Review of fossil vertebrates with emphasis on phylogenetic relationships.

Prerequisites: Minimum grade of C in the following: BIOL 190A  and BIOL 190L  (formerly BIOL 196), BIOL 191A  and BIOL 191L  (formerly BIOL 197), CHEM 121A  and CHEM 121L CHEM 122A  and CHEM 122L  ENG 102  or ENG 114  or HON 100 , and MATH 127  or 128   or 181 . The maximum number of attempts for  BIOL 451 is three, including earned grades, withdrawals and audits.
