BIOL 451 - Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy
The companion laboratory course of . Hands-on dissection of specimens representing major vertebrate groups. Numerous demonstration specimens sample the diversity of fishes, amphibians, and amniotes. Review of fossil vertebrates with emphasis on phylogenetic relationships.
Credits: 2 Prerequisites: Minimum grade of C in the following: BIOL 190A and BIOL 190L (formerly BIOL 196), BIOL 191A and BIOL 191L (formerly BIOL 197), CHEM 121A and CHEM 121L , CHEM 122A and CHEM 122L , ENG 102 or ENG 114 or HON 100 , and MATH 127 or 128 or 181 . The maximum number of attempts for BIOL 451 is three, including earned grades, withdrawals and audits. Corequisites: . Notes: This course is crosslisted with BIOL 651. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.
