CEE 676 - Earthquake Engineering

This course is crosslisted with CEE 476. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work. Introduction to vibration theory; seismic hazards; spectra of vibrations. Application of UBC Simplified Static Method and Static Method. Introduction to design of earthquake resistant structures. Discussion of diaphragms, chords and struts.
