The Disability Resource Center is UNLV’s dedicated office for students with documented disabilities, diagnoses, temporary injuries, and pregnancy. Our office is dedicated to helping students access their education through the use of reasonable accommodations.

The DRC offers a wide range of individualized supports and services so that eligible students with disabilities/diagnoses/temporary injuries/pregnancies can access and participate in university programs and courses.Students who have a documented need for accommodations are encouraged to contact the DRC as soon as possible to discuss possible options for support, access, services, and academic accommodations. In order to begin the process for accommodation consideration and approval, students must complete an application with our office and submit documentation.

Applying for services and accommodations is done online at https://olympic.accessiblelearning.com/UNLV/Start. Documentation may be uploaded within the application, emailed to drcregistration@unlv.edu, or brought into the DRC office. Documentation must be completed and signed by a licensed medical or mental health professional and should include academic and functional impacts of the diagnosis. Disability documentation is kept confidential.

Once students are registered with the UNLV Disability Resource Center it is required that they request accommodations online each semester in order to utilize their approved accommodations.  It is also recommended that students request meetings with their instructors so that they can work together to understand each course structure and requirements. If students have questions related to the implementation of their accommodations and meeting the requirements of  their courses, they should contact their assigned Disability Specialist for assistance.
