Student Success Scholarships

Student Success currently offers three scholarships to support undergraduate students.

• The Hixson-Lied Success Scholars Program is a four-year, service-based scholarship for selected students who have overcome significant academic, economic, and/or personal challenges. This program provides financial assistance, academic support, and leadership development opportunities. Recipients must enroll full-time (12 or more credits per semester), maintain a 3.0 GPA, and be Pell Eligible. Applications open each fall for the following academic year. • The Dean’s Award supports undergraduate students in the Exploring major. Eligible students must be in good academic standing with a minimum UNLV GPA of 2.0 and enroll in at least 12 credits each semester of the award year. Applications are submitted to the Exploring Advising team in the spring, with recipients notified before the fall semester.
• The Jump-Start Scholarship is available to incoming first-year Exploring Majors who are enrolled full-time. This one-year award is disbursed in the fall and spring semesters, pending continued eligibility. Applications open in the fall for the following academic year.
