Degree Requirements


The requirements for each of the B.F.A. concentrations are identical to the requirements for the corresponding B.A. concentration.

Notes


  1. Candidates for this program will be reviewed, by the Art Faculty at the end of the spring semester. The application deadline is the 2nd Friday in April. Applicants should have completed 110 credits towards their B.A. in an Art Concentration prior to the following fall semester.
  2. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA in Art in order to apply.
  3. ART 493 may be taken only after completing at least one 400-level art history course with a B or better.
  4. Upon being accepted for the B.F.A. every student must choose and be accepted by three tenured or tenure track faculty in the Art Department. These three faculty compose the B.F.A. Committee and will mentor every student, meeting with them frequently for purposes of critique, both individually and as a committee.
