• PBH 205 - Introduction to Public Health
• PBH 210 - Principles of Health Promotion
• PBH 225 - History of Public Health
• PBH 330 - Global Health
• PBH 360 - Research Methods for Public Health

• Plus two (2) upper division public health courses

Minor Area of Study - Total Credits: 24

All public health majors will minor in a field of study complementary to their interests. Please see your advisor for more guidance concerning your minor. Students may choose from the list below or other approved minor:
Environmental Studies
Biological Sciences
Anthropology
Sociology

Culminating Experience - Total Credits: 3

• PBH 495 - Public Health Practicum
• PBH 499 - Senior Thesis in Public Health

Notes:

1. Every student must complete a three-credit multicultural course and a three-credit international course.  Courses satisfying other requirements may simultaneously satisfy the multicultural and international requirements if they appear on the approved lists. However, one course cannot satisfy both the multicultural and the international requirements. Specific restrictions on courses fulfilling this requirement exist. See the UNLV General Education Core Requirement Section of this catalog for additional information.
2. PBH 200 is required for the major and satisfies the Multicultural requirement.
3. It is recommended that students satisfy the International requirement with a 3-credit Humanities or Fine Arts elective.
