Public Health (BS)

The Bachelor of Science(BS) in Public Health program is a dynamic program taught by dedicated and enthusiastic public health professionals committed to providing mentorship, community inv olvement opportunities, and research projects to all of its students. Anchored in national accreditation principles of innovation and accountability, the program’s faculty, staff, and administrators are united in their commitment to supporting students to enter, progress through, and graduate. The ultimate program outcome being graduating students who are prepared to assume contributing and leadership roles in entry - level public health careers or successful admission to graduate pro grams and post - graduation certification programs.

    • ​Two courses (three credits each) from two different humanities areas and one introductory or appreciation course (three credits) from a fine arts area.

  • Life and Physical Sciences and Analytical Thinking: 10 Credits

Multicultural and International

  2. The Social Science requirement can be fulfilled by any three PBH courses or by a Social Science minor.

  5. Student must have earned 30 credits of 300 and 400 level courses upon graduation. A minimum of 2 credits of electives must be taken at the 300 level or higher in order to meet the 30 credits of upper division.
  6. Students must pass PBH 202 , PBH 205 , PBH 210 , PBH 360  and PBH 365  with a minimum of 2.75 GPA.
  7. PBH 300  is a Milestone Experience course for Public Health B.S.
  8. PBH 495  is a Culminating Experience course for Public Health B.S.
