Family Studies Minor

The Family Studies Minor prepares students to pursue graduate work in family studies, human development, couple and family therapy, and other professions in mental health. The minor focuses on personal growth, maximizes your potential, and understand both yourself and others better. The Family Studies minor provides students with basic theory in family studies and family therapy with particular attention to family systems theory, interpersonal dynamics, multicultural issues, human sexuality, and couples and family therapy.

Notes


  1. CFT 150  or CFT 350  or CFT 360  can fulfill the General Education Social Science requirement
  2. CFT 225  can fulfill the General Education Multicultural requirement
  3. Students must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.00 to declare and to graduate with a minor in Family Studies.
