The Accounting profession continue to undergo significant changes, becoming both broader and more complex. Accountants are trusted, objective professionals who provide information for decision making and serve as business advisers. Many accountants land top executive positions because of their background, integrity, and skills developed through education and professional experience. The Accounting Minor is designed for students who complete other majors but wish to acquire significant knowledge related to financial and managerial accounting, taxation, auditing, and accounting information systems. The accounting program is accredited by AACSB – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

University Graduation Requirements
To obtain this minor, you must be a degree seeking undergraduate student pursuing an approved UNLV bachelor’s degree. Please see Graduation Policies for complete information. Accounting Minor - Total Credits: 18
Required Courses - Credits: 12
Elective Courses - Credits: 6
Complete six credits of minor electives selected from upper-division (300- or 400-level) accounting courses, excluding ACC 473 . Any upper-division course that is applied toward a major degree will not count as a minor elective. |
