Plan Description

The Lee Business School recognizes that many aspiring business professionals, having completed their Bachelor’s degrees or equivalent, may desire to advance their knowledge in business administration but may be unable to commit to a MBA degree program. In response to this need, we offer the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (GCBA), providing individuals with a pathway to master their professional field and expand their understanding of business administration.

The GCBA program is a testament to an individual’s commitment to professional development and pursuit of excellence in business administration. By completing the GCBA, students demonstrate their dedication to advancing their careers and acquiring new insights into business practices.

To earn the GCBA certificate, students must complete coursework covering five core functional areas of business: accounting, economics, finance, management, and marketing. This comprehensive curriculum ensures that students understand key business concepts and priniciples essential for success in various industries.

An additional advantage of the GCBA program is that all coursework completed can be applied toward completing an MBA degree at Lee Business School in the future. This flexibility allows students to transition from the GCBA to the MBA program seamlessly should they decide to further their education and pursue more advanced career opportunities in business administration.

The GCBA certificate can be pursued as a stand-alone credential or added to another master’s or PhD program at UNLV. Whether seeking to enhance current job prospects, develop new skills, or lay the groundwork for future academic pursuits, the GCBA at the Lee Business School provides individuals with a valuable opportunity to elevate their professional credentials and achieve their career aspirations in the dynamic business world.
