The graduate programs in History are designed to achieve a balance between scholarship and teaching. Advanced studies in the areas of North America, Europe, the World, and Public History have prepared many of our graduates for teaching positions in schools, community colleges, and universities. Our course offerings train students in research, writing, editing, and critical analysis, qualifying them for admission to doctoral programs and law schools, along with jobs in historic preservation, the National Park Service, historical societies, museums, and international business firms.
