AAS 205 - Cultures and Communities of Las Vegas

Promotes cultural awareness by examining how the peoples, cultures, and communities of Las Vegas, NV form their own conceptions of “community” away from their homelands. Uses interdisciplinary approaches to analyze how Las Vegas, in only a few decades, became one of the most highly recognizable tourist destinations in the world.
