NURS 804 - Foundations of Anesthesia
Credits 3
Examines anesthesia concepts including the continuum of anesthetic states from sedation to general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, standards of practice, and safe patient care. Integrates anesthesia concepts, with the knowledge base gained in the parallel chemistry and physics courses, provides a foundation to understand anesthesia equipment, delivery systems, and ventilators.
Prerequisites
Admission to the DNP program.
