GEOL 630 - Geographic Information Systems (GIS): Theory and Applications


Credits 4

Survey of computer-based techniques in the storage, retrieval, analysis, and representation of spatially referenced data. Emphasis on the application of GIS technology to geologic problems such as natural hazard mapping, surface runoff and erosion, and environmental impact assessment. Crosslisted with GEOL 430. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.



Prerequisites
Graduate standing.
