CEE 650 - Unit Operations/Processes in Environmental Engineering

Water, wastewater system design overview. Water demand, wastewater generation. Water quality criteria. Mass balances, kinetics, reactor design. Coagulation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection. Suspended, attached processes. Sludge and residual management. Measurements of solids, pH, alkalinity, hardness, DO, BOD, COD, SVI, turbidity, MPN, chlorine residual, nitrogen, phosphorus. Crosslisted with CEE 450. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.
