HIST 683A - Urban Destruction and Reconstruction

Study of populations, cityscapes, and infrastructures in cities wounded by acts of warfare, terrorism, and natural disasters, as well as by social, environmental, and economic decline. Analyzes urban renewal and reconstruction efforts and counter-terrorism policies and their effect on the strategic, geopolitical role of cities. Crosslisted with HIST 483A. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.
