Detailed analysis of the First World War, the Versailles settlement, the Russian revolution, the emergence of Fascism and Nazism, the Second World War, the Cold War, European reconstruction, the Eastern European Revolutions, the development of consumer societies, European economic integration, the end of communism, and the wars of Yugoslav succession. Crosslisted with HIST 464. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.
