HIST 633C - African-American History since 1877 Credits 3
Examination of the emergence of African-Americans from the aftermath of the Civil War to present. Themes include the restrictions imposed by Jim Crow, segregation beyond the South, the Civil Rights movement, inner city rebellions and the new Black cultural movement. Crosslisted with HIST 433C. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.
Prerequisites Graduate standing.
