HIST 633B - African-American History to 1877 Credits 3
An examination of African-American history to 1877 that considers roles of free and enslaved blacks in the shaping of America’s social, cultural, economic, and political developments. Themes include the slave trade, creation of race and slavery, gender, and African influences on both slave and American culture. Crosslisted with HIST 433B. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.
Prerequisites Graduate standing.
