CIS 553S - Teaching Secondary Mathematics
Credits 3
The focus is on developing skills in planning and teaching mathematics for grades 9 –12 that are consistent with Mathematics Standards. Students explore instructional strategies to develop understanding of concepts in the topic areas of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, probability, and statistics. Evaluation procedures use formative and summative strategies. Crosslisted with EDSC 453. Credit at the 500-level requires additional work.
