ANTH 667 - Health and Disease in Antiquity

Covers paleopathology, or, the study of disease in ancient populations. Provides an overview of morbidity and mortality over the last 20,000 years for many different populations from around the globe. Information on disease is drawn from human skeletal and mummified remains, and from archaeological reconstructions of lifestyle and diet. Crosslisted with ANTH 467. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.
