Reviews Near Eastern and Mediterranean archaeology from the earliest evidence of humans in the region through the origins and development of farming and food production. Examines foundations for civilization in Egypt and Mesopotamia and the colonization of islands of the Mediterranean Sea. Crosslisted with ANTH 441B.
