ANTH 617 - Evolution & Culture: ‘Darwinian’ Models of Culture
Credits 3
Humans depend on complex cultures for their survival. Why it is the case, how it is made possible and how fundamentally culture affects humans have always been essential focuses of the anthropological research. The courses will present the main models of cultural evolution found currently in the anthropological literature. Crosslisted with ANTH 417. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.

Graduate standing.
