DEN 7102 - Microbiological & Immunological Concepts, Part I

Presents the fundamentals of bacteriology and virology and the elements of the immune response to common pathogens. Clinical case studies will be used to illustrate infectious processes in oral and systemic diseases, with emphasis on infections of the oral cavity. The principles of infection control will be introduced.
