DEN 7101S - Human Structure and Function, Part II Credits 6
Studies the disciplines of biochemistry, cell biology, general microanatomy, and physiology. Since form and function are interrelated, how the two are integrated as they are taken from the cell level through tissues and then to organ systems will be taught. Exposure to cellular and histologic structures of tissues and organs and the exploration of the relationship between structure and function will be discussed, along with the integrated homeostatic relationship of body systems. Special consideration is given to those areas specifically related to dentistry and oral health. Prerequisite: Biochemistry, or special permission from instructor.
