SW 777 - School Social Work, Parental Involvement, and Family Engagement

Uses family systems theory to develop social work skills of engaging and collaborating for family-school-community engagement, especially with families from diverse backgrounds and families with children with exceptional needs. Develops both school-based and home-based skills to empower families to become leaders and decision makers in their child’s education.
Prerequisites
Graduate standing.
