CEE 676 - Earthquake Engineering

Introduction to vibration theory; seismic hazards; spectra of vibrations. Application of UBC Simplified Static Method and Static Method. Introduction to design of earthquake resistant structures. Discussion of diaphragms, chords and struts. Crosslisted with CEE 476. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.
