AAS 287 - Afro-American Heroes in Film
Examination of the diverse and changing filmic portrayals of African Americans as individuals of heroic struggle and sacrifice. Figures to be examined will vary from the historical such as Malcolm X and Tina Turner, to the fictional such as Easy Rawlins and Shaft.
