HIST 479 - History of the British Empire Explores the history of the British Empire from its beginnings to decolonization and analyzes the social, cultural, and intellectual foundations of imperial Britain. The emergence of Great Britain as an imperial power considered within the larger context of concerns about race, class, and gender.
