FIS 446 - History of the Russian Film Soviet cinema from the revolutionary films and path-breaking theories of the 1920s (Eisenstein, Pudovkin, Vertov, Dovzhenko, and Kuleshov), through the constrictions of Socialist Realism, to the revival of a proud tradition in the decades since Stalin.
